Baisakhi continued. This is how rhyme, rhythm, music, movement are initiated with every festival being celebrated with an event and we gradually see the children becoming uninhibited, spontaneous and innovative with repeated and regular stimulus provided to each intelligence centre, each developmental area.

BAISAKHI CELEBRATIONS at Mothercare School. The children learnt about the Why, What, When, Where from and How of Baisakhi by celebrating it on 13th April in school with full gusto and enthusiasm. Never mind if you missed it. You can sample the event now.

Tired they rest and start off again on an inviting music.

Dressed in yellows of all hues, Mothercare children celebrated Basant Panchmi with Saraswati Pooja and blessings.

Marching in to school happy and excited with flowers of all varieties. Their flower arrangements could have won prizes in any adult competition. The school was a riot of colours. See for yourself below.

With hundreds of arrangements and all so beautiful judging was a difficult task.

Every Child participated and got blessings, tika and laddu from the Great Grand Mother of Mothercare School.

School reopens after Winter vacation with with Lohri Dhamaka on 13th January 2016. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you

We learnt to be very careful around the bonfire, how to shell the peanuts and really enjoyed the gur ki rewari.  What fun to be back in school. What fun to have dance, music and sunshine.

Really Happy with our handiwork and what an elegant Ravan! We want everyone to see it. We painted his attire . Embellished it with all the shapes we knew. A lot of hard work but team work is fun.

Janamashtmi bliss at Mothercare School, Lucknow. Each child contributed in making some thing for the Janamashtmi Jhanki with the help of enthusiastic parents and caring teachers. Sharing, caring, learning and loving is the essence of our school.

Tree trunks, Peacocks and matkis for the Nandgaon scene were made by Junior and Senior Play Group kids.

And then of course the totally involved singing of Krishna songs and dancing.

Janamashthmi is being celebrated in school on 4th September Friday. Through poems, songs , stories and dramatization children are being made aware of the relationship between  mother/child, brothers, friends, neighbours and relatives. Understanding the Krishna Tatva makes them understand unconditional love in a very simple way.

The Jhanki, where each class is doing up their classroom with their favourite scene is an example of home school co-operation as you, the parents are fully involved with the teachers and children in making this a memorable learning experience for the child.

By next Wednesday please send approx. 250 gms of home made panjiri with the child for the prasada. Charnamrit will be made and provided by the school. Children will come dressed as characters from Krishna Leela or as suggested by the class teacher on the 4th. You, your friends and family are invited to see the jhanki  and have prasada after school at 11.30 am when school gives over on 4^th September.

Rakhee celebrations at Mothercare School, Lucknow. Children made rakhees with love and care. Rakhees were tied on trees, plants and animal cages with a promise to love them and care for them. Little ones also learnt to tie a knot. Toddlers and playgroup kids were on a rakhee tying binge.

Hot, crunchy from outside, soft within, dotted with til and sweet traditional Anarsas were had by the children instead of chocolates and sweets.
