On nature round ....investigating, observing, asking, experiencing. Look what we found, plucked and tasted too. Picking pocketing raw mangoes. Tasted them too. Learnt of tastes bitter (skin and seed) and sour.

Mothercare School kids plucking organically grown tomatoes in the school campus and making  yummylicious juice and soup and having it too. Children learnt so many new words while doing these healthy and tasty activities like, plucking, squashing, cutting, slicing, mixing, cooking etc. We are sure most of our children are perhaps the first in their families to ever get the joy of plucking fresh vegetables from a garden and that too grown organically also using them fresh and full of vitamins. We wish parents could see how much their kids enjoyed tomato juice.

Children fascinated with Gandhiji and the anecdotes they learnt about, related to him. What fascinated them the most was Gandhiji's self help and cleanliness mantra. What they learn they put into practice. Perhaps the countries youngest volunteers for Swach Abhiyan, Cleanliness Drive, India.

Raksha Bandhan celebrations!

Each panel in this huge big Rakhi has been made by the children of different classes. It's their way of understanding by doing the 'mangalam' they can all recite now. By tying rakhees to the plants, trees, animals ,caretakers, teachers, each other once again respect, love, care and gratitude for all things and people around them was reinforced.

I love trees. I love plants. I am tying them rakhees. I will always take care of them.

We love our sprouts...waiting for tomorrow...we are going to have a salad party with our sprouts...we are going to surprise our mama by gifting them our packed sprouts.

Results of their efforts visible for them to see. They are the happiest lit of kids these days seeing their seeds turn to plants.

Children are having workshops on Ecology and Environment  with the onset of the rainy season and school reopening after summer vacation.They are learning how to grow plants and take care of them.
