And now it's Janamashthmi time. Children are busy making, boys ....bansuri and girls....dandy. They know all the Krishna stories, his pranks, they understand his relationship with his mother, brother, gwal bal, go pis and Radha of course. They can recite many songs and poems. They are so excited about the jhanki and coming dressed as different characters from Raasleela. Wait and watch to see the scenario unfold…

Raksha Bandhan celebrations!

Each panel in this huge big Rakhi has been made by the children of different classes. It's their way of understanding by doing the 'mangalam' they can all recite now. By tying rakhees to the plants, trees, animals ,caretakers, teachers, each other once again respect, love, care and gratitude for all things and people around them was reinforced.

I love trees. I love plants. I am tying them rakhees. I will always take care of them.

Rakhi making  is the source of so much learning for our young ones. They are learning by doing about interdependence, their responsibilities, how nature serves us and what can go wrong if we don't do our part.

Independence Day celebrations at Mothercare School with different classes making different Handwork with our flag colours. Children learnt many songs and they sang danced and marched to their hearts content. To top it all they had saffron boondi laddoo too. Happy Independence Day ! May everyone be as happy, contented, carefree as the Mothercare children.

Respecting all religions

On Friday we had Teej celebrations in school . We had children in all hues of green, dance to music, go on the many jhoolas put up for this purpose and put mehendi too. Enjoy the feel of Sawan with our children . We are not only learning so much about our Indian Culture but are proud to preserve it too.

And we got to take our sprouts home for mama. We are sure, she will be proud of us!

We love our sprouts...waiting for tomorrow...we are going to have a salad party with our sprouts...we are going to surprise our mama by gifting them our packed sprouts.

Results of their efforts visible for them to see. They are the happiest lit of kids these days seeing their seeds turn to plants.

Motherecare School kids made their Rakhis with so much love and patience.

Rakhis are ready with our initials on them...we have used ladyfinger and colours to decorate our rakhis.
