Young Volunteers for a Better India

Thank you for all the clothes, toys, books and shoes collected for distribution amongst under privileged children. They have been distributed to the children of mobile labourers from Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh being encouraged to study at the NISHULK SHIKSHA KENDRA near Ashiana Aurangabad crossing Lucknow.

Volunteer For A Better India

This is the " IPTADA" of Young Volunteers for a Better India. Children have to learn to be grateful for what they have and realise that there are others who are not as fortunate. Makar Sankranti celebrations on 14th Jan can start with them collecting a fist full daily of Khichri ingredients or til/laiya laddoos or gur for their new found friends. Our children growing up responsible seems to be the only hope for a better India. Happy new Year.

Janamashthmi Celebrations at Mothercare School

  • Krishna stories, poem and songs  over the past month.
  • Mother’s, teachers, and the children jointly putting  up the Jhanki , with each class depicting a scene from Krishna’s life.
  • The children dressed as Krishna’s and the different characters around him.
  • The dandiya dance
  • Prasada of Panjiri and charnamrit.

In the process a lot of learning and growing happened. Language development both English and hindi with the poems, songs and stories; fine motor control , aesthetic development and  team work with the handwork, painting for the jhanki, music, rhythm, movement, kinesthetics with the dance and songs. The mothers enthusiasm and creativity was remarkable. They learnt how quality time can be spent with their kids
